Vernon Community Singers get ready to rock the ‘50s

Members of the Vernon Community Singers are all dressed up and ready to relive the 1950s during their upcoming concerts April 15 and 16 at Trinity United Church.

Get ready for a musical trip back in time.

The Vernon Community Singers concerts April 15 and 16 are a tribute to the fabulous ‘50s.

“It will not only have many of your favourite songs, but also costumes from that time,” said Ruth Meyer, with the group.

“Terry Logan and Marjorie Close are sharpening up our jazz and rock beats, not to forget all of those wonderful love songs of the ‘50s.”

Tickets are currently on sale.

“Get your tickets early as our Christmas concert was sold out beforehand,” said Meyer.

The Vernon Community Singers concert is April 15 at 7 p.m. and April 16 at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Church, 3300 Alexis Park Dr. Tickets are $12 each and free for children under 12. They are available at the Schubert Centre or from choir members.
