Videographer Alex Chacon put his 'Around the World in 260 Degrees' on YouTube and his views have climbed to over 9

Videographer Alex Chacon selfies himself ‘Around the World in 360 Degrees’ (VIDEO)

The 'professional traveler' spent 600 days filming his now-viral hit, which took him to 36 countries and has over 9 million views.

YouTube is a playground for the wanderlusting office worker, and there’s no shortage of montages dedicated to the feeling of leaving it all behind for the open road.

One of the platform’s newest superstars is videographer Alex Chacon, a 26-year-old American and “professional traveler” who published his ‘Around the World in 360 Degrees‘ in May and has since racked up 9,000,000 views and counting.

Chacon spent 600 days traveling the world, seeing 36 countries and taking a selfie in every one of them, courtesy of the handy GoPro-and-a-stick combination. (The video’s description says the video was made over three years.)

“That’s like having seven children and deciding which one you love the most,” he told the Daily Mail Online, when asked what his favourite location was, although the paper says he expressed particular fondness for Alaska, Bolivia, and Brazil.

Chacon shares his work on his website ModernMotoDiaries.com, where he has published his route and photos. He also has links to his past videos and photo albums of every continent he has traveled to.

His videos are similar to past viral videos from the same genre, like Vancouver-based clothing/entertainment company SundayFundayz’ ‘If You Can, You Should’ or Casey Neistat’s improvisational Nike ad, titled ‘Make It Count’.
