An Earth Day inspired  student art exhibition and auction, hosted by the vLearn parent advisory council, is taking place at The Hub Arts Collective in downtown Vernon Friday, April 25.

The exhibit and opportunity to bid on the art starts at noon and is open until 6 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity to mingle with others and support local youth who will be showcasing their talent in a gallery setting,” said spokesperson Catherine Hansen. “On this special day you will be sure to find one-of-a-kind recycled art and nature inspired photography.  In addition to the art, there will be a draw or two, live music by El Gusto and refreshments.”

A virtual learning school program, vLearn is run through the Vernon school district and offers programs for students in kindergarten to Grade 12. All funds raised at this event will be directed back to the PAC to enhance programs at vLearn, said Hansen.

Anyone with earth inspired art is welcome to contribute to the event. Contact the vLearn PAC by e-mail at: vlearnpac@gmail.com.  All contributions must be submitted by April 24, and may be dropped off at the old West Vernon school library, second floor, 2711-39th St.
