Two books by Vernon author James Osborne have been selected by Walmart in the United States for listing in their online store, walmart.com.
Chosen were his award- winning collection of short stories, Encounters With Life — Tales of Living, Loving & Laughter, and his popular mystery novel, The Maidstone Conspiracy.
The announcement was made recently by Osborne’s publisher, Solstice Publishing Inc., of Farmington, Missouri.
“We don’t know how Walmart makes its choices, or when the books might be listed on their Canadian site, but I’m delighted with the added exposure,” Osborne said, adding that both are available locally at Bookland downtown and Coles in the Village Green Centre.
In January, Encounters With Life was named Best Short Story Collection of 2015 in an international poll of readers. In that same poll, readers gave The Maidstone Conspiracy second place as the Best Mystery of 2015.
“I must say, it was very flattering to have my books chosen by readers from around the world,” Osborne said. “And now to have two selected for sale by Walmart’s huge online store is amazing.”
Osborne is also the author of the bestselling novel The Ultimate Threat, a gripping story about the spread of the religious extremists ISIS. It was the top bestselling thriller novel on Amazon for several weeks following its release in June 2015 by his previous publisher, Endeavour Press Ltd. of London, U.K.
