The music was once again a hit at the Vernon Army Camp during the 29th annual Funtastic Slo-Pitch and Music Festival.
Longtime Canadian rockers Honeymoon Suite kicked things off Friday night followed the next evening by the legendary Sweet, who had 5,000+ fans screaming during Ballroom Blitz.
From rock the first two nights to country on Sunday, as Canadians Aaron Pritchett and Julian Austin performed. Austin wowed the crowd when he brought up local and visiting troops on stage for a salute to military personnel.
And, on Canada’s 146th birthday, fans were treated to the music of Big Wreck and Theory of a Dead Man for which a Funtastic family zone was created so those under 19 could attend.
Local acts also belted out the tunes on the main stage in Vernon throughout the holiday weekend.
