A musical group of African orphans is returning to Vernon to spread its message of hope.

Watoto, initiated to serve the dire needs of Africa and her people, is in Canada on a brand new tour entitled Oh What Love!

Watoto stops in Vernon June 5 at 10 a.m. to perform their vibrant and original African music, dance and life-transforming stories at Alexis Park Church (3906 35A St.).

Since 1994, Watoto Children’s Choirs have travelled all over the world sharing the plight of Africa’s orphaned and vulnerable.

Each of the children in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both of their parents but they have been rescued and now live in a Watoto village.

The Watoto model involves physical care, medical intervention including HIV/AIDS treatment, education, counseling and emotional well being as well as moral and spiritual discipleship.
