Cameras capture images of suspects in Vernon snowmobile thefts

Two sleds and a trailer stolen from an Okanagan Landing home early Saturday, Dec. 2

Security cameras have caught images of thieves and their suspected getaway vehicle from an early morning robbery in Vernon Saturday, Dec. 2.

Two snowmobiles and a trailer were stolen from a driveway in the 8200 block of Okanagan Landing Road just before 2 a.m.

The two suspects are covered in masks, gloves and clothing. They appear to have attached the trailer on top of a self-made hitch, said the victim, with a chain wrapped around the locked hitch.

The vehicle is described as a red/burgundy Dodge Ram Grand Caravan with no licence plate.

Both snowmobiles have grey and black covers on.

Anybody with any information on the theft is asked to call the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
