Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce will host a night of celebrating diversity in the communities.

The chamber will host a free celebration to mark National Multiculturalism Day on Friday, June 27, at Armstrong's Memorial Park.

"We will take this opportunity to celebrate the diversity that enriches us collectively, and reaffirms the commitment to equity, inclusion, and mutual respect," said Carol Hill-Lonergan with the chamber.

The event will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. featuring a celebration with food, live music, art, and cultural presentations.

Cultural presentations will be performed by Blakey School of Dance, Vernon Chidorikai Japanese Dancers, Kesavah Dancers, Kenthen Thomas, and Taiko Drummers.

Cultural food and beverage is provided by Finca Las Margaritas Coffee, Mia More Tacos, Kamui Japanese Curry, and Family Affair Donair.

"Multiculturalism is one of Canada’s great strengths," said Hill-Lonergan. "We encourage you to share your experience, and your story with others and listen to theirs at this event."
