I would like to share a short story about myself.

I am a 63-year-old male from Vernon. A brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

On May 1, I went to bed at midnight. Felt fine but couldn’t sleep so I got up at 2 a.m. to watch TV.

I got half way through the living room. The next thing I knew I woke up to five or six paramedics and my wife looking down at me.

They loaded me up and took me to Vernon hospital.

After Dr. Wang ran a bunch of tests turns out I had a very bad intestinal infection running through my body and would kill me if I didn’t have surgery immediately.

In the surgery I went into cardiac arrest but Dr. Wang and his surgical team kept working on me to pull me through.

Finally they did and finished the surgery.

I woke up with hoses coming out every where.

I got out of the hospital May 13.

I still had some recovering to do but should be fine so thank you Dr. Wang and his surgical team at Vernon hospital for working so hard on me and not giving up on me and giving me the gift of continuing to be a brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Also thanks to the ambulance crew because if not for everyone I would not be here today.
