UPDATE June 18:
Operators and divers have restored Delcliffe Water System's pumping capacity and water restrictions have been removed.

The first set of samples were acceptable.
ORIGINAL June 17:
Delcliffe Water Utility customers are on immediate emergency water restrictions.
An intake issue has forced the Regional District of North Okanagan to limit use to essential household needs only: drinking, food preparation, toilets or other personal essential uses.
Due to the water outage, when water returns a Boil Water Notice is in effect until further notice.
There is a blockage at the water system intake and the utility is responding by scheduling divers and supplementing the reservoir using water hauling trucks; however, it may still empty unless water use is minimized.
Customers should boil their water for at least one minute when preparing food, drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice or brushing their teeth.
