UPDATE: Highway 6 near Coldstream reopened following crash

A multi-vehicle incident near Abderdeen Road and Grey Road has prompted a closure

UPDATE 8 p.m.:

Traffic is finally getting through Highway 6 in Coldstream.

A crash involving multiple vehicles, including a semi-truck taking out a power pole, closed the highway earlier Thursday morning.

The highway was reopened to single-lane alternating traffic around 4 p.m. before fully reopening around 7:30 p.m.

ORIGINAL 8:45 a.m.:

A vehicle incident on Coldstream's Highway 6 has prompted a closure.

Multiple vehicles are involved in an incident around 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, between Aberdeen Road and Grey Road for 2.7 kilometres.

Detours are in effect through Kalamalka Lake Road to Kalamalka Road and delays are expected.

A semi truck is in the ditch and has taken out a power pole at the Coldstream Fruit Stand in the 9300 block of Highway 6.
