The lights went out for some Lavington residents in the early hours of Thursday after an incident involving a logging truck interfered with some hydro lines.
Police received a report of downed hydro lines in the 600 block of Bluenose Road in Lavington around 1:45 a.m. Dec. 7, according to RCMP media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski.
Following an investigation, Terleski said it was found that a logging truck was driving up the road when a piece of its trailer got caught on an overhead hydro line, pulling it off the pole and onto the road.
A crew from BC Hydro responded to render the scene safe and complete repairs.
According to BC Hydro, the outage only affected roughly 30 customers and power was turned back on around 9 a.m.
Terleski said no fines were issued to the truck driver.
