Minor detour in effect as 2 vehicles collide on Highway 6 in Vernon

A detour is in effect after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 6 in Vernon Thursday afternoon.

The crash took place at the intersection at Pottery Road around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 6. 

Police, the fire department and an ambulance are currently on scene. 

Traffic is still flowing in the area but eastbound traffic on Highway 6 is down to one lane. Pottery Road remains open but there is a detour around the scene. 

The vehicles — a truck and a car — both sustained damage and debris has been left scattered on the highway. 

It is unknown if any injuries were sustained in the crash.
