A ribbon cutting of a vital new home for children in Vernon is coming in May.
The Cedar House, which is a new emergency placement resource centre for youth and children, is opening on Thursday, May 2.
The North Okanagan Youth and Family Services organization is behind the house’s development, as they seek more options for youth in the North Okanagan community to feel safe.
The ribbon cutting begins at noon on May 2, from 4100 26th Street, near MacDonald Park.
