Wanted man misses Vernon court trial, again

A wanted man who has been avoiding his court trial remains on the lam.

Stewart Tkachuk did not show up at Vernon Court again Monday, Feb. 26, after missing several days trial last week.

He is facing nine counts out of Lumby including break and enter and commit indictable offence, commit robbery where a firearm is used, discharge a firearm with intent to wound/disfigure, unlawfully discharge a firearm, disguising face with intent to commit offence, unlawful confinement or imprisonment, aggravated assault, possess firearm without licence and/or registration and possession of firearm, etc. contrary to order.

Edward Coghill also faces similar charges in the same trial.

A bench warrant has been issued for Tkachuk’s arrest.
