Now that summer is over and water use has eased, restrictions have been removed in Armstrong and Spallumcheen.

Stage two restrictions are no longer in place for the City of Armstrong and the following Spallumcheen areas: Hankey, Highland Park, Lansdowne, Pleasant Valley, Round Prairie, Silver Star and Stardel.

Stage one restrictions are now in effect.

"The city recognizes the cooperation of the community making the stage two water conservation a success in keeping our water reserves readily available for essential needs during this drought season," the city of Armstrong said. "By reducing water consumption, the city was able to keep our water reservoirs at sustainable levels, and reduced energy used to pump, treat, and distribute water throughout the city."
