The air quality advisory that was issued on Tuesday, July 4, has been lifted for Vernon.

The cause of the advisory was due to wildfires, and not the downtown city fire, according to fire chief David Lind.

Currently, the air quality number of 22.7 micrograms per cubic metre is 2.3 less than the objective of 25.
