Quick action by Wildfire BC stopped two wildfires before they could get established.

Kamloops Fire Centre Fire Information Officer Justine Hunse says both spotfires were discovered Tuesday night.

Fire K32065 was located approximately two kilometres northwest of Sicamous and Fire K42066 was on Cedar Hill Road between Pinaus Lake and Hwy 97, approximately eight km southeast of Falkland.

Hunse says there is no information as to the cause at this time but says “we did not have rain or lightning last night.”
