Armstrong store target of armed robbery

Police looking for suspect after incident early Friday morning

Public assistance is being sought after an armed robbery in Armstrong,

At about 3:30 a.m. Friday, a woman walked into the 7-Eleven on Smith drive, produced what is believed to have been a handgun and demanded cash.

Once the clerk behind the counter turned over the money, the suspect fled.

"We're not sure if she got into a vehicle," said Corp. Kevin Kwast.

"We're not sure how she got there or left."

The woman is possibly in her 20s.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Armstrong RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
