The MP for North Okanagan-Shuswap has new duties within the Conservative Party.

Mel Arnold has been elected vice-chairperson of the Conservatives’ B.C./Yukon caucus.

“Being elected to the role of vice-chair by fellow MPs is truly an honour and I look forward to adding my energy and leadership to this important group,” said Arnold.

“The B.C/Yukon caucus has already met to discuss some of the important issues raised by our constituents as we press the government on matters such as agriculture or the softwood lumber agreement which were mysteriously not mentioned in the speech from the throne.”
