The suspects in an alleged assault remain in jail.

Early Sunday morning, an Ontario man was severely beaten outside of a pub on Queensway Avenue in downtown Kelowna.

Rick Dennis, 26, of Vernon, and Daniel Orge, 27, of West Kelowna, were remanded into custody after appearing in court on charges of aggravated assault Tuesday.

A third suspect, Ryan Tanner, 25, of Kelowna, was released on $5,000 bail.

“All three are scheduled to appear in court again in April,” said Cst. Kris Clark, with the Kelowna RCMP.

The Ontario man was taken to Kelowna General Hospital with head injuries.

“The victim remains in ICU but has been showing some signs of improvement,” said Clark.

Police believe the alleged incident was possibly an unprovoked attack.
