Police are investigating after an attempted break-in at a Vernon convenience store.
Officers were called to Hunter’s Store on Pleasant Valley Road at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
“The front door was smashed in,” said Cpl. J.R. Leckie, with the Vernon RCMP.
Video surveillance then shows a truck being backed up to the door.
“They tried to grab the ATM but it didn’t work,” said Leckie.
On Thursday, police had two suspects in custody on a separate matter.
“We are currently investigating their possible involvement in the break-and-enter at Hunter’s Store,” said Leckie.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the RCMP at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
