North Okanagan communities will receive a number of provincial grants.

The money comes from small community grant, regional district grant and traffic fine revenue sharing grant programs.

Armstrong will receive $541,100 while there is $422,847 for Coldstream, $444,525 for Enderby, $397,331 for Lake Country, $371,164 for Lumby, $540,826 for Spallumcheen and $522,932 for Vernon.

The Regional District of North Okanagan will receive $167,998 while there is $158,116 for the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District and $128,469 for the Regional District of Central Okanagan.

“These grants help provide local services, programs and  infrastructure in smaller and rural communities in every region of B.C.,” said Peter Fassbender, community development minister.
