Hot air balloons will light up the parking lot at Kal Tire Place at 5 p.m. tonight (Friday).
The 24th annual Balloon Glow was slated for Kin Race Track but has moved to the neighbouring property due to conditions, as the event kicks off the Vernon Winter Carnival.
"The ground is so soft, they drove on some of the ground and the truck sunk," said Carnival chairperson Deb White.
Weather has also scaled the event back from a glow to a twinkle, which means the balloons will not go up.
"It all depends on the weather," said White.
Hot air balloons have been filling the skies over the North Okanagan all morning. And weather permitting, the 24th annual Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will continue through to Sunday.
