Coldstream is gathering more information on the impact of boats on local lakes.

Council has received the Kalamalka Lake and Wood Lake boat impact study on source waters prepared by Ecoscape Environmental Consultants and Larratt Aquatic Consulting.

As a result, Coldstream staff will work with the Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program, Lake Country and Regional District of North Okanagan to investigate power boat recreational impacts on Kalamalka and Wood lakes.

“I will go to Lake Country and meet with Mayor James Baker on how they plan to approach it,” said Mayor Jim Garlick.
