Road work

The rehabilitation of Coldstream Creek Road will be taking place later this summer, after a Request for Tender (RFT) process saw the contract awarded to Copcan Civil LP. The project is scheduled to take place in late August. Its adjacent road, McClounie, is currently undergoing pavement rehabilitation, until Aug. 31.

Conference

Councillors who will be attending the Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) conference in September have requested meetings with four provincial ministers. The goal is to brief them on issues affecting the community. The ministers are: Josie Osborne, Minister of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation; Rob Fleming, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure; Rachna Singh and Grace Lore, Ministers of State for Child Care; and Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Housing.

Annual financials

The 2022 annual report was approved by council. It is a summation of the financials throughout all of 2022. You can view the report at coldstream.civicweb.net/document/93941.

Lacrosse box resurfacing

The creekside park lacrosse box is getting repainted. The work, which will be completed by Tomko Industries, is expected to take place at the end of July until early August.

Community Hall

The Coldstream Community Hall and Child Care Centre, which was opened on May 26, had its final report approved at council. Total cost of the building was $7.02 million. The company Maven Lane has been awarded the leasing rights to the Child Care Centre, who will be providing the child care services for the community.
