Brooks gains support

Scott Anderson, the party’s Vernon-Monashee candidate in the May provincial election, has endorsed Dan Brooks' leadership bid

A B.C. Conservative leadership hopeful is receiving support from the North Okanagan.

Scott Anderson, the party’s Vernon-Monashee candidate in the May provincial election, has endorsed Dan Brooks’ bid for the party leadership.

“I am endorsing Dan because I believe the people of B.C. are ready for a new brand of politician,” said Anderson.

“Dan has the usual attributes of first class leadership – intelligence, charisma, youth and drive – but he brings something else, something new and fresh to politics: an honesty and integrity that we haven’t seen in B.C. for decades.”

Brooks is from Kamloops while the other candidate is Rick Peterson of Vancouver.

The B.C. Conservative Party’s leadership convention is scheduled for April 11 in Vancouver.
