Building is booming in Coldstream.
In a report to council, district building official Bob Bibby reported that in the month of August, 18 permits were issued, up from 12 in the same month in 2013.
“The total construction value for the month was $6,432,000, compared to $2,799,500 for the same month last year,” wrote Bibby.
The number of housing units in 2014 to date in the district (50) is almost twice that for the same period in 2013 and exceeds the year-end total by two.
