Flames roared through a BX shed Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the 1700 block of East Vernon Road at about 5 p.m.
“A large shed with a couple of additions put on to it, along with the greenhouse at the back, was fully engulfed when we got there,” said Bill Wacey, BX-Swan Lake fire chief.
Numerous challenges existed for the firefighters.
“It had quite a large amount of fuel load inside it as there was three or four different stacks of lumber and wood along with three or four gas cans that were full, along with a very large collection of paint cans that were all part of the fire,” said Wacey.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
“At this point, I don’t see anything suspicious,” said Wacey.
