The single-vehicle accident took place on Kalamalka Road at 14th Avenue Friday morning.

A single-vehicle accident took place on Kalamalka Road at 14th Avenue in Vernon Friday morning.

Firefighters and police responded to the scene of an accident where a car crashed into a pole by the crosswalk outside of Kal Tire. Traffic was still moving quite well around the incident.

“The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is currently on scene at a single vehicle collision that occurred on Kal Lake Rd at approximately 10:30 a.m. Two occupants of the vehicle were treated by BCAS,” said Const. Kelly Brett. “Cause of collision unknown at the time of writing. (12 p.m. Friday)”

The cause of the incident has yet to be released.
