A 24-year-old Salmon Arm woman was travelling westbound in the Township of Spallumcheen on Heywood-Armstrong Road when she lost control of her vehicle, went off-road and struck a tree.

The accident occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The woman was trapped in her vehicle and needed to be removed by emergency services personnel.

She was taken to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops by helicopter with undetermined injuries.
