One man is facing charges in relation to a stabbing incident at a home outside of Enderby Jan. 31.

Vernon RCMP were called to a report of a stabbing at a home on Canyon Road shortly after midnight on Feb. 1.

A man had been stabbed in the shoulder area and was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were given a description of a potential suspect and found a man matching the description walking with another man along Old Vernon Road, not too far from the house in question.

Alcohol and drugs appear to be a factor in the incident, said police.

Johnny Beattie Jones William, 39, was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful confinement.

He was remanded in custody pending a scheduled appearance Thursday in Vernon Provincial Court.
