The ceremony takes place at 10:30 a.m. at city hall Thursday.

The City of Vernon will host a Day of Mourning ceremony.

The event takes place at 10:30 a.m. at city hall Thursday.

“It will honour those workers in Canada who have been injured or killed on the job,” said Tanya Laing Gahr, with the city.

“Speakers will include North Okanagan-Shuswap MP Mel Arnold and Mayor Akbal Mund.”

In 2015, 122 workers lost their lives on the job in B.C. due to workplace injury and disease.
