Premier Christy Clark and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick have placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the Stanley Cup.

If the Vancouver Canucks win, Patrick has pledged to wear a Canucks jersey and send a supply of Legal Sea Foods clam chowder. If the Boston Bruins win, Clark will wear a Bruins jersey and send Boston a selection of Nanaimo bars and B.C. smoked salmon. In both cases, the food will be donated to charity.

“People across B.C. and across Canada are proud of their team and they are cheering on the Vancouver Canucks. They know this is going to be the year the Canucks make history and bring home the Stanley Cup,” said Clark, looking forward to her chowder.
