Coldstream's administrative ranks have expanded.
Matthew Treit will be the district's protective services co-ordinator effective Sept. 8.
In his role, Treit will oversee the district’s emergency management and occupational health and safety programs as well as conduct fire inspections and fire investigations.
He has more than 20 years of fire service experience most recently as the fire chief in Tumbler Ridge.
"His extensive experience as both an educator and within the fire service provides an ideal combination of education and experience to support our existing services," said Trevor Seibel, Coldstream's chief administrative officer.
