Coldstream man killed in logging accident

The incident occurred near Tahsis on the northwestern side of Vancouver Island, Sunday.

The investigation continues into the death of a Coldstream man in a logging accident.

David Thompson Kennedy, 47, died at a heli-logging operation, near Tahsis on the northwestern side of Vancouver Island, Sunday.

Kennedy was employed as a tree-faller when he sustained critical  injuries. He was transported to Campbell River and District Hospital by helicopter and ambulance, but  could not be resuscitated.

The B.C. Coroners Service, the RCMP and WorkSafeBC are continuing to investigate the accident.
