Fun, music, frivolity.
And all under a new roof.
The District of Coldstream will celebrate the grand opening of the new community hall and childcare c Friday, May 26.
The official ribbon cutting takes place at 1 p.m. followed by the opening ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Both kick off a slate of afternoon activities.
“The community is invited to see the new facility and join in the celebration,” said Coldstream chief administrative officer Trevor Seibel.
“This fun-filled event will provide the community with an opportunity to mix and mingle with neighbours, enjoy live music and refreshments, and play some games.”
Attendees can also view the facilities and tour the site.
Between the ribbon cutting and official ceremony, guests can mix and mingle and enjoy the musical sounds of Frasers’ Edge.
From 2 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., guests can enjoy tours and play at the games table.
Musical guests during the final five hours will include Frasers’ Edge (2-2:30 p.m.); Kerry Parks (2:45-3:45 p.m.); Carolyn Anele with Hugh Spinney (4-5 p.m.); and Keith Hustler (5:15 to 6:45 p.m.).
