A range of topics were discussed as Vernon’s mayoralty and councillor candidates gathered for the first time.
About 150 people attended the Schubert Centre forum hosted by the Sustainable Environment Network Society Thursday.
Among the topics were urban agriculture, lake accesses, downtown revitalization, economic renewal, affordable housing and transportation.
During the forum, two hot-button issues were the relocation of the city’s tourism information centre and the $70 million master water plan referendum, with all candidates present insisting they will vote no against borrowing.
