A North Okanagan community is coming together to target crime.

The second annual Cosens Bay Community Day was held recently in the area south of Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.

“Our theme this year was improving the safety and security of our community through the establishment of the Block Watch program,” said Rob Johnston, one of the organizers.

“We had great success and we are now members of the Regional District of North Okanagan’s Block Watch program headed by Mike Moyer. We feel this program will be a great asset for our community in crime prevention.”

Community Day attracted about 130 residents and their families and friends.
