Vernon's Jim Cotter will play New Westminster's Sean Geall in the one-two Page playoff match Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Canadian Direct Insurance B.C. Men's Curling Championships at the Nelson Curling Club.
Cotter, the two-time defending provincial champ, was the first playoff qualifier, going 4-0 to win the A event. Geall qualified out of the B event with only one loss.
The winner advances to Sunday's 4 p.m. provincial final. The loser will face the winner of the matchup between the C event qualifiers, Glen Jackson of Victoria and Dean Joanisse of New Westminster, last year's provincial runner-up.
Geall won the B event qualifier Friday afternoon, 5-1 over Jackson, snapping a 1-1 tie with a deuce with hammer in the ninth and stealing a pair in the 10th.
Jackson won a C event qualifier, 7-4, over clubmate Jason Montgomery while Joanisse scored a pair in the 10th end to knock off Neil Dangerfield of Victoria 5-4 in the other qualifier.
