Crash closed Highway 1 near Salmon Arm for several hours

A crash involving a semi-truck happened just outside Salmon Arm on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 11.

A crash involving a semi-truck closed Highway 1 near Second Nations Road just outside Salmon Arm on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

The crash happened around 4:40 p.m., closing the highway in both directions. Around 6:30 p.m., the highway was open to single-lane alternating traffic. 

Video posted to Facebook shows debris all over the stretch of highway where the crash occurred.

The highway fully reopened around 9:15 p.m.

At least two vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured.
