Cyclist injured in crash

On July 19 at about 6:10 p.m., Vernon RCMP were called to 30th Avenue and 30th Street

It’s undetermined whether a cyclist will face charges for his part in a collision.

On July 19 at about 6:10 p.m., Vernon RCMP were called to 30th Avenue and 30th Street after a cyclist crashed into a Ford F250 pickup truck.

The incident occurred when the truck was stopped at a red light and when the light turned green, it started moving northbound on 30th Street.

“The cyclist went across the green light,” said Gord Molendyk, spokesperson for the Vernon RCMP spokesperson.

The cyclist was taken to the hospital with suspected head injuries, but was later released with only minor injuries.
