Death of man found in Vernon Creek not suspicious

Police say the death of a 47-year-old man found in Vernon Creek Saturday is not suspicious in nature; coroner now investigating

The Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP has confirmed that the death of the 47-year-old man whose body was recovered from Vernon Creek Saturday does not involve criminality.

Police responded to a call of a body in the creek near 34th Street and 23rd Avenue at about 8 a.m. Saturday.

The Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP is continuing to assist the BC Coroners Services with their investigation.
