Some Vernon residents can finally drink from the taps following a month-long water advisory.

Greater Vernon Water in conjunction with Interior Health Authority has rescinded the water quality advisory for customers supplied by the Delcliffe Water Utility. The area impacted includes Delcliffe Road and Cameron Road. The water is supplied to these areas by Delcliffe Water System in partnership with GVW.

Turbidity levels have returned to normal (less than 1 NTU). Water quality monitoring has shown the water supply has returned to a “GOOD” rating, allowing for the advisory to be rescinded. It was put in place May 12.

Staff continues to monitor water quality and work closely with IH.
