The District of Lake Country has a new chief financial officer.
Rose Bronswyk Kassa took up duties as CFO July 21.
Bronswyk Kassa is a certified management accountant and has been serving as the district’s finance manager since 2003.
She takes over from Stephen Banmen.
“Rose has demonstrated a strong fiscal accountability for preparing the annual financial statements, management of collection of the tax roll, in addition to other receivables, payables and grant processing in this community for many years,” said Mayor James Baker.
“I feel she is the best suited for continuing oversight in an expanded role as CFO.”
One of Bronswyk Kassa’s goals is long-term integrated strategic planning.
“As finance manager, Rose was actively involved in all facets of municipal finance operations and will now expand her involvement in annual budget preparation and tax rates finalization,” said Alberto De Feo, the district’s chief administrative officer.
