Parents of children aged three to five can sign up their tykes for a host of educational events in the North Okanagan, courtesy of Ready, Set, Learn.
The program aims to foster connections between families, schools and local agencies while engaging kids in a fun atmosphere, with plenty of play time.
“Ready, Set, Learn is a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to bring their preschool age children into an elementary school in a play-based, fun atmosphere,” said Tracy Anderson, early learning coordinator with BGC Okanagan (formerly known as Boys and Girls Club of the Okanagan). “We know playing, talking, and reading are all so important and we want to connect and share that with everyone.”
The first event will be held Friday in Okanagan Landing school at 1 p.m. The 13 total early childhood learning events are currently open for registration by calling the phone numbers as shown on the image below.
“We want to support our families and share community resources, early learning programs and a book to take home,” Anderson said. “We are excited to host this amazing program for children three to five years old and hope everyone registers at the elementary school of their choice.”
