Mike Macnabb says he wants to continue to represent the interests of BX-Silver Star.
He has filed nomination papers for a third term as Area C director in the Regional District of North Okanagan.
“There are still issues I am interested in pushing along,” he said.
“The agricultural issue is huge for me. I’d like to see the agricultural profile raised. It makes a huge contribution to our economy. Let it help us go forward.”
Macnabb also wants to proceed with a review of parks in the North Okanagan.
“I would like to see a full regional parks service explored. It would be everyone at the table,” he said.
Macnabb also wants to push for enhanced co-operation among all of the local jurisdictions.
“I don’t want to see Balkanization,” he said, adding that there is also a need for RDNO to improve communications with the public.
Macnabb has lived in Greater Vernon since the 1970s and is an engineering services consultant for vehicle performance.
