A veteran Vernon School District trustee is facing an electoral challenge.

Bill Turanski, who has been Coldstream trustee for 21 years, will go up against Robert Lee for the position Nov. 15.

Turanski, who is currently board chairperson, has been acclaimed during most of the elections.

Elsewhere in the district, the four Greater Vernon seats are being sought by incumbents John Armstrong, Mollie Bono and Kelly Smith, former trustees Steve Connor and Perry Wainwright and newcomers Lisa de Boer and Brenda Giffin.

Incumbents Mitiz Fortin and Doris Square have been acclaimed to another term as the Lumby/Cherryville trustees.
