Efforts are underway to address a pending shortage of doctors in Enderby.
Mayor Howie Cyr met with the Interior Health Authority Wednesday to discuss the departure of local physicians and recruitment of new professionals.
"Much is currently being done to identify options to ensure the level of medical care in Enderby and area is not compromised," said Cyr.
"Based on our meeting, I feel confident that Enderby is clearly a priority for Interior Health."
A sub-committee will be formed to proceed with doctor recruitment activities.
