Enderby firefighters were quick to knock down a blaze Tuesday.
Crews were called to reports of a residential fire in the 800 block of Regent Avenue at 7:30 p.m.
“We got it down fast. We were probably in and out in 10 minutes,” said chief Kevin Alstad.
In the end, it wasn’t a structure that caught a blaze, but a set of tires sitting next to a fence.
The cause is not known but it’s not considered suspicious.
“There was a gas can there and some other things. There may have been a cigarette flicked out,” said Alstad.
No damage was done to the adjacent residence.
“They lost a set of tires, a tool box and the fence,” said Alstad.
